If anyone needs a potty chair or some toddler clothes or woman's clothes, I will give them to you.  Philadelphia area only. I will not ship them to you, you will have to come get them.

 Some of you are not going to like what I have to say.  I understand that we are posting on Aid page, and I have been where most of the people desparate for money have been. I have found myself in desparate financial situations and am one paycheck away from being on the street myself. I am not above the embarassment that comes with asking for help.  A lot of people seem to be asking for cash for food and ren, utilities and car payments. 

We are all aware of the saying about giving a fish and teaching to fish. 

Let me say that some things are beyond our control and we have financial issues that could not be foreseen.  However, some of those asking for money are single or married people under 40 with out children.  To You I would advise that you cut up your credit cards and take on a second or third job.  If you have cable TV get rid of it. Get rid of your cell phone, pack your lunch and buy every thing material besides underwear, socks and shoes at yard sales and thrift shops.  Bargain hunt.  Take a good look at your life, if you are living beyond your means you should be embarassed to ask for help unless you are willing to change. 

Some of us have made poor decisions about our lives that have really messed us up.  I had no business becoming a parent.  I knew I would be on my own, but I thought I could rely on others to help. I fell on my face hard and woke up to a lot of work ahead of me.  I have been homeless with a child living with other people who did not want us there. I worked my way back up from nothing. I still struggle today and wish for a better life.  I am doing much better than I was three years ago.  I now make too much to qualify for food stamps and section 8 or WIC or medical assistance. I do not qualify for utility assistance.  All because I earn about $25.00 over the income limit. There are social services out there for those who are truely needy. Which comes to my next doubt.  I think that some posts are scams. I think that some people are under the impression that the others who post here have money to give.  I think that if more posts were about helping instead of bailing someone out it could make an impact on socity as a whole.

If you have not already tried this, go to your county assistance office and apply for medical assistance and food stamps.  Look in the blue pages of your phone book or look up the WIC program on the net.  Call your utility companies and ask for assistance for low income families, make payment arrangements. Contact social services in your county and ask for rental assistant programs.  The best thing to do now is prepare for you new baby. Based on your income that you posted you should easily qualify for these programs.  Your unborn child will count as a household member for WIC and TANF.

Have you tried going to a domestic abuse shelter? I know how hard it is to find a job in FL, have you tried a temp agency. Is there a motel or anything in your area that rents rooms? I don't know what you are paying where you are at, but if you go to a place now you should get an off season rate until May. Try calling domestic abuse shelters for other types of assistance. You could get clothes and a transitional home they may even help you get started with further education. Depending on your qualifications you could get a job with them. I would go to a temp agency though, it's the easiest and fastest way to get (legal) employment. If you belong to a church, ask them for help finding a room with someone. Try working at UPS they have good health benifits and can supplement your income while you look for something full time and permenent. Take care of you, stay away from men. I am so sorry for the loss of your pregnancy. Try to think positive, would you be better off with a baby where you live and unemployed? If you have family reach out. I am here to get help and offer help to others.  I do not have money, I am not asking for money.  When I found this page I was looking for a place to ask anyone who is looking to trade in their curent vehicle (not a lease)to a dealership if they would sell it to me instead.  I need a car. I can't afford a car. I don't have cable TV or cell phone, I use dial up to connect to the internet.  I am a single parent.  I had a car. It was a good car. I needed money to move myself and my child to a better home. I sold my my car to a dealership for all I could get, $400. I loved my car and worked hard to pay it off.  I wish I could have gotten more for it.  I wish I could have sold it to someone who really needed it rather than to a dealership that would make about $4000 on it when it went up for resale.  As a matter of fact they sold it almost immediately.  I got a parking ticket for it a month after I sold it (they used the VIN # because the temp. plate was illegible)where the new owner parked it about five miles away from my old address.  At least I don't have to watch someone else drive it.  About the car I am looking for: I would like one that runs good and will pass inspection.  I understand I will likely put more money into it to keep it going. I don't care if it's ugly. I would prefer that it has a good running engine and transmission, seats and a sturdy floor. I would prefer that it has working heat and A/C.  I can live without a radio.  I would like it to be an automatic. I can teach myself to drive stick if I have to.  The closer to Philadephia, PA the better.
